Stathis Kalyviotis
Composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist and co-producer, together with Kristi Stassinopoulou, of the albums "Greekadelia" , "Taxidoscopio" , "The Secrets of the Rocks", "Echotropia" and "Ifantokosmos".
In 1981 formed one of the first Greek punk groups "Anipoforoi" (The Unbearables), the first punk band singing in Greek language.
During the 80s he cooperated with some of the most important groups of the Greek independent rock music scene.
In the late 80s, he started cooperating with Greek singer-lyricist Kristi Stassinopoulou. Together with Kristi Stassinopoulou, Vangelis Vekios and Kostis Anagnostopoulos they formed the band "Selana", an underground band with an ethno-garage sound.
Beginning of the 90s Stathis started using also traditional string instruments and experimenting on electronics and live looping.
His albums with Kristi Stassinopoulou started having an international appeal. For the last ten years, together with Kristi Stassinopoulou band they have been touring in music festivals and venues in Europe, N. America and Brazil.
Since 2010 together with Kristi Stassinopoulou they are performing as a duet. Using the "live looping" technique they create a soundscape ranging from purely acoustic to purely electronic, visiting all the in-betweens, with arrangements of Greek traditional songs and many more creations from their albums.
Their last album, "Greekadelia", released in June 2012 by Riverboat Records UK, topped the World Music Charts Europe for August and September 2012.
